We're doing alright, we made it through the tears.
And I hope you like this card, I found it at Sears.
The pipes froze up last night and we're stuck in the house.
But we've all got our health so I guess that we can't complain.

Thanks for the casserole. We had some for lunch today.
It tastes just like I remember on a cold dark winter's day.
I know this ain't much of a Christmas. I know this ain't much of a cheer. But if we take good care we can try again next year.

Tell Daddy we're looking at the deer and we're doing alright.
We can see 'em from the living room window in the yard each night.
We watched The Sound of Music and then It's a Wonderful Life,
and I still say Tate Reeves is Mr Potter's number one guy.

Thank him for the chocolate pie. It's nearly almost gone.
I keep trying to save one slice but the kids won't leave it alone.
